Founder of the Xavier Booster Club
Xavier High School ---- Appleton, WI
Arnie Vanden Boomen started the Xavier Booster Club in 1970. Arnie, right, is shown with Max McGee, one of the all-time great players for the Green Bay Packers, when he purchased the first membership in the Xavier Booster Club. Just over 500 memberships for just $1 each were sold to raise funds to get the club organized. McGee is best known for his 7 receptions for 138 yards and two touchdowns in the first Super Bowl. Arnie worked with Brother Edward Mason, then the Xavier AD, to establish the Xavier Booster Club.
