FOOD FAIR --- XavierHawksSports.com
at Xavier High School - Appleton, WI
DIRECTIONS TO XAVIER HIGH SCHOOL
This page on the XavierHawksSports.com web site provides some basic info about Food Fair, a huge event held at Xavier High School in May of 2019. It is the FINAL event.
2019 = 47th & FINAL event
FOOD FAIR --- at Xavier
DATE: Sunday May 4, 2019
TIME: 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The annual Xavier International Food Fair has drawn thousands of people from throughout the Fox Valley and northeast Wisconsin... and at times well beyond. It was a fantastic opportunity for everyone to enjoy ethnic food, great entertainment, plenty of music and a variety of events, raffles, and silent auctions. There was a children's fair, readers corner with lots of great books, inflatables for youngsters, arts & crafts, and plenty of interesting things to do... for 47 years always on the first Sunday in May at Xavier High School, 1600 W. Prospect Ave., Appleton.
Sure, it's a fundraiser, but it also is a lot of fun! 2019 marked the FINAL Food Fair.
Many student-athletes and coaches of Xavier athletic teams, as well as current and past parents plus XHS alumni have been involved in the event -- as workers and participants.

Since 1972 Food Fair has brought together thousands of people for one day to enjoy amazing food, great entertainment and fabulous camaraderie. Food Fair began as a high school event to raise money for tuition assistance and scholarships. In the last decade, it evolved from a high school event to a System wide fundraiser to help Xavier Catholic Schools prioritize the needs of its students, award financial aid, and take advantage of arising opportunities throughout the System.
With deliberation from staff, supporters and volunteers, the difficult decision has been made to make this the final Food Fair. We understand this announcement may be disappointing to those individuals who have long invested their time and talent in volunteering, attending and supporting Food Fair. Looking ahead, the goal is to create a new event that will still bring people from throughout Xavier Catholic Schools and the greater community together, just in a new format.
To the volunteers involved with Food Fair in the past, and those assisting in this final year, thank you so much for your commitment and diligence in sustaining it for 47 years! While this is the end of an era, Food Fair will long be remembered as an important event that served Xavier Catholic Schools and the community.
