Open this link for info for all media... print, photographers, radio or TV... regarding media at 2020-21 Xavier winter athletic events hosted by Xavier High School:

  *  MEDIA POLICY AT XAVIER WINTER SPORTS 20-21 -- pdf   updated 11-25-20

  *  for Boys Basketball, Girls Basketball and Wrestling

Media members must bring credentials for admittance to the gym.  Any media working must wear a tag or credentials, clearly identifying them as MEDIA or PHOTO. The facility opens 3 hours before the varsity start time for media set-up.

The WIAA policy of allowing spectators with a ticket obtained in advance does not affect media, unless they want to bring along non-media members... who would be spectators and need a special ticket for admittance. Tickets are not available on-site on Game Day.

Also, the NO SPECTATORS policy for Bay Conference events and non-conference events, effective 11-2020, does not affect media, unless they want to bring along non-media members... who would be spectators, and not allowed.

Xavier High School appreciates the tremendous media coverage over the years regarding many Xavier Hawks sports teams, but this policy is because of restrictions in place due to the Covid-19 virus. It was developed after much consideration, using guidelines from the local health department and from the WIAA... to help keep safe the students, coaches, spectators, volunteers and media at the game.  Thanks for your understanding.
